Overview of Archery Hunting
We specialize in fair chase; archery only hunts for whitetail deer following the Quality Deer Management Association’s harvest guidelines. We are situated in the heart of the Allegheny’s in the scenic Southern-Tier of New York State. Our operation is geared towards small groups of 1 to 4 people. We encourage our clients to include their children so that they too may have a wonderful outdoor experience and continue the hunting tradition. The NYS DEC has recently lowered the minimum age for deer hunting to 14. We offer special discounted rates apply to children 17 and under as well as for non-hunting spouses and significant others.
We also provide guided hunts for spring and fall turkey, waterfowl, varmints (woodchuck, crow and coyote), as well as for small game (grouse, woodcock, pheasant, rabbit and squirrel). Black bear are relatively abundant here and there can be opportunities while deer hunting even though we cannot set bait or use hounds.
For deer hunting, numerous hunting stands and portable ground blind locations have been strategically set on over more than 500 private acres. Stands are set overlooking food plots, old apple orchards and sanctuaries. We continually scout the area for the best locations to see trophy animals. For safety and comfort reasons, most of these stands are doublewide “Buddy” ladder stands that are wrapped in camo. If you harvest an animal, it will be field dressed, skinned and quartered for you. We have set a 2-deer/person limit.
Guided river and pond canoe trips are available for pan fish, walleye, chain pickerel and bass locally in Steuben County. Half and full-day charters on the Upper Niagara River and Lake Erie are also available in the summer aboard our 24’ boat for walleye, bass and musky.
