Overview of Archery Hunting
We specialize in fair chase; archery only hunts for whitetail deer following the Quality Deer Management Association’s harvest guidelines. We are situated in the heart of the Allegheny’s in the scenic Southern-Tier of New York State. Our operation is geared towards small groups of 1 to 4 people. We encourage our clients to include their children so that they too may have a wonderful outdoor experience and continue the hunting tradition. The NYS DEC has recently lowered the minimum age for deer hunting to 12. We offer special discounted rates apply to children 17 and under as well as for non-hunting spouses and significant others.
We also provide guided hunts for spring and fall turkey, waterfowl, varmints (woodchuck, crow and coyote), as well as for small game (grouse, woodcock, pheasant, rabbit and squirrel). Black bear are relatively abundant here and there can be opportunities while deer hunting even though we cannot set bait or use hounds.
For deer hunting, numerous hunting stands and portable ground blind locations have been strategically set on over more than 500 private acres. Stands are set overlooking food plots, old apple orchards and sanctuaries. We continually scout the area for the best locations to see trophy animals. For safety and comfort reasons, only TSMA approved metal ladder stands are used, most of which are doublewide “Buddy” ladder stands that are wrapped in camo. We have set a 2-deer/person limit and we do not impose “trophy” fees.
Guided river and pond canoe/kayak trips are available for pan fish, walleye, chain pickerel and bass locally in Steuben County. Half and full-day charters on the Upper Niagara River and Lake Erie are also available in the summer aboard our 24’ boat for walleye, bass and musky.
Stay in your choice of cozy cabins with outstanding home cooked meals in the main cabin kitchen. Packed lunches are provided to those who choose to stay out all day. Amenities include hot showers, local phone service satellite TV and high-speed wireless Internet connection. For the waterfowl hunts, boating tours and fishing charters stay at the Grand Island, NY Holiday Inn, the KOA or any of the numerous local motels or hotels near Niagara Falls.
